Here's a walk through of the online E-WALLET option. No more sending cash in and no need for your child to have a phone. We can just look up their name, teacher, and/or room number to find their funds. Don't worry about left overs either you'll be able to access them next year or use them on the Scholastic Book Store after our fair ends.
1. Visit the Scholastic Website: Start by going to the official Scholastic website. You may need to create an account or log in if you already have one.
2. Locate the Book Fair Section: Navigate to the section of the website dedicated to the Book Fair. This is where you'll find information on the e-wallet setup.
3. Set Up Your E-Wallet:
a. Look for the option to create or set up your e-wallet. It may be labeled as "Scholastic e-Wallet" or something similar.
b. Follow the on-screen instructions to provide the necessary information. This usually includes adding your child's name and school.
c. For additional children repeat the steps above. (DO NOT put all kids on the same e-wallet.)
4. Load Funds:
a. Once your e-wallet is set up, you'll need to load it with funds. This can typically be done using a credit card or other online payment methods.
b. Follow the prompts to specify the amount you want to load onto the e-wallet.
5. Review and Confirm: Double-check the information you've entered, including the amount of funds you're adding.
6. Payment: Complete the payment process. Make sure to keep a record of your transaction for reference.
7. Attend the Book Fair: When you attend the Scholastic Book Fair at your child's school, your child can use the e-wallet to make purchases. They will likely need to provide their name, teacher, and/or room number.
8. Check Balance: You can often check the balance of your e-wallet on the Scholastic website during and after the Book Fair.
9. Enjoy the Book Fair: Encourage your child to explore the fair and choose the books they'd like to purchase using the funds in the e-wallet.
10. Monitor and Manage: Keep an eye on the e-wallet balance and manage it as needed, especially if there are remaining funds or if you need to top it up for future Book Fairs.
